BONSERNEWS.com – The Indonesian Migrant Worker Protection Agency (BP2MI) said that members of the TNI and Polri were involved in supporting the crime of trafficking in persons (TPPO).
Responding to accusations addressed to the Police. DPR Commission III member Wihadi Wiyanto asked this migrant protection agency to immediately prove allegations against his working partner, namely the National Police, if any unscrupulous members were indeed backing them.
“Because the crime of TIP is quite disturbing and this is also a fairly serious crime, I think that there are members of the TNI-Polri supporting it, it needs to be clarified so that it doesn’t cause slander,” Wihadi told reporters, Tuesday 27 July 2023.

In essence, Wihadi assessed, Polri is very committed to eradicating TIP and it will fully support Polri to eradicate TIP and also enforce it indiscriminately. “And I think if it is true that the allegations (members) of being backers might be dealt with according to the law,” said the legislator for the East Java electoral district IX which includes Tuban and Bojonegoro.
Previously it was reported, Head of the Indonesian Migrant Worker Protection Agency (BP2MI) Benny Ramdhani said that TNI and Polri members were involved in supporting the crime of trafficking in persons (TPPO).
He stated that the business is not attributive to power.
“This is an era of openness, I say there are members of the Police involved, members of the TNI are involved,” said Benny, Tuesday 4 July 2023.
